Useful Websites lion

For basic information on graphing quadratics see http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/EMT668/EMAT6680.Folders/Barron/unit/Lesson%206/6.html or http://www.purplemath.com/modules/grphquad.htm. Once the basics are mastered then there is a puzzle on matching quadratic and straight line graphs with their equations at http://www.univie.ac.at/future.media/moe/tests/fun1/erkennen.html. There is a graph explorer that can be accessed at http://www.langara.bc.ca/mathstats/resource/onWeb/precalculus/quadratics/. Any function can be written in (after following the instructions on entering functions) and it is plotted. There is a game as well but it is fairly hard to use. There are some quizzes on recognising the shape of quadratic at http://wims.unice.fr/wims/wims.cgi?session=IPEBC8E058.10&+lang=en&+module=H4%2Fgeometry%2Fquadchoice.en&+cmd=intro&+special_parm.

The Mathematics Learning Centre holds workshops at the beginning of each semester. Keep an eye out for dates.

There is a Massey Universtiy Site that covers most topics well and is worth having a good look at. There are also some quizzes at http://webct-ce.massey.ac.nz/SCRIPT/tsamith1/scripts/serve_home that can help you identify problem areas.
